Due to expansion, we are currently recruiting for a number of roles within the business.

This role involves supporting Fastcom’s Core IP Network, customer access network (wireless and fixed line) and significant managed security platform while ensuring internal and external customers receiving the highest level of service.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure the support team is managed and act as a point of escalation
  • Ensure network is running optimally and bandwidth growth is monitored and proactively managed
  • Ensure procedures are in place to deal with network outages and service affecting issues, including managing the out-of-hours support service
  • Provide proactive network management, identifying and budgeting for potential upgrades to improve network performance and capability
  • Answer technical support calls/customer emails and provide excellent customer service in a timely, efficient and friendly manner
  • Escalating network problems to the network manager
  • Provide support for Fastcom’s internal LAN and cloud infrastructure
  • Collaborate with team members and ensure they are provided with the timely and relevant information
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer among the engineering support team

We’d like you to have:

  • A 3rd Level Qualification
  • Experience working a similar environment
  • Cisco Certification desirable
  • Highly organised and possess the ability to think laterally
  • Broad Knowledge of leading edge technologies
  • Experience with leading edge network management tools
  • Experience with KPI’s and Reporting
