SIRO has announced a €6 million investment in a full-fibre network for Carrickmacross and Monaghan Town.
From early Spring 2023, some 5,300 premises will be able to connect to SIRO’s gigabit, 100% fibre network. The announcement was made to Carrickmacross town council members this week during a presentation by senior SIRO management.
As part of their latest rollout, SIRO is aiming to target 2,800 buildings in Monaghan and 2,500 buildings in Carrickmacross.

Alderwood, Cluain Alainn, Coill An R, Farney Street, The Elms, Castleblayney Road, and Saint McCartan’s Villa are just a few of the Carrickmacross neighbourhoods that will benefit from SIRO’s fibre broadband service.
Monaghan Town SIRO Rollout
Monaghan Town will get fibre broadband in places including Drumbear Lawn, Dublin Street, Tully Estate, Belgium Park, Doctor McKenna Park, Montfort, and Manor Wood, among others.
